The City of Salem uses CodeRED, a rapid communication system, sometimes called “Reverse 911,” to alert residents when there is an emergency or other notification. To sign up, click on the CodeRED link at www.salem.com/subscribe and fill out the form. Sign up to receive alerts on a landline and cellphone, and by text message or email. You can also customize the type of alert you would like to receive.
