Wild Fish Swim Festival

Distances: 1/2 Mile, 1 Mile and 2 Mile

Time: 9:30 AM start (Registration/Packet pickup opens at 8:00 AM)

Location: Collins Cove Beach, Salem, MA. (GPS 102 Webb St. Salem, MA) Collins Cove is located on Webb Street which is off Bridge Street. Follow signs to Salem Willows and you will see us. We are the cove on the left heading towards the Willows.

Costs:
Early Bird: $20 through 2/29
Tier 1: $30 through 4/26
Tier 2: $40 through 7/31
Race Day: $50

Details: This annual community open water swim event typically attracts an average of 150 swimmers split between three different distances. The temperature of the water is typically about 66-68 degrees Farenheight, with 2019 being an exception with temperatures closer to 60 degrees. The swim takes place in a calm, protected cove, and is well supported with at least a dozen volunteers in kayaks and on paddleboards.

Swag: In 2020, t-shirts will be guaranteed for all participants pre-registered by July 25th. Swim caps will be provided for all swimmers.

Awards:
Top M/F in each swim distance.
Top 3 M/F in each age group in all swim distances: U-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
No Double Dipping
Wetsuit/Non-Wetsuits will be combined in the award ceremony.

Post Race Festivities: Post race Hot Breakfast catered by Every Little Breeze Catering.
$5 for non-swimmers and FREE for kids. Cold brew coffee provided by Boston Common Coffee Co. will be FREE for participants and $2 for non-swimmers.

Parking: Street parking along beach is limited, neighborhood parking, Bentley School Parking lot (25 Memorial Drive, Salem, MA).

Special Details and Information: No floaties, fins or paddles allowed. There will be plenty of kayakers, paddleboarders, emergency boats in the water for athlete safety. In the event there is not enough interest in any one of the distances or categories listed above, event organizers reserve the right to change/cancel or modify the category. In this case, refunds and transfers are eligible.
