Speaker Series: “We Need Not be Afraid of Scrutiny”

We are pleased to introduce Lucas J. Miller, Salem’s newly appointed Chief of Police, who, in the light of the national discussion on policing and violence, will discuss our department’s use of force policy. According to Miller, a Massachusetts native who served for thirty years on the New York police force, “We need not be afraid of scrutiny.” Come find out why.

All events will take place live in the Levesque Community Life Center at 401 Bridge Street in Salem, MA. The Levesque Community Life Center adheres to all of the Salem Board of Health’s requirements regarding COVID. Masks must be worn in all public buildings at all times, and social distancing must be maintained. While no food will be allowed, water will be available.
