SEL, Free Expression, and Creative Writing Making a Difference in a Public School Classroom

Lisa Forte-Doyle has taught Creative Writing and advised a creative writing club for over 25 years. Several of Lisa’s students have become professional, published writers and/or teachers of English. This presentation will center on student work (students will read example poems in person) and strategies for brining poetry into the school and regional community. This program is focused on teachers and those interested in incorporating poetry into the wider community (senior centers, etc.)
