Salem Public Schools Charlotte Forten Display at Old Town Hall

With a special thanks to all of the participating students and teachers, Old Town Hall is pleased host to a unique installation featuring ‘idea boards’ and other projects from a variety of Salem Public School classrooms on the theme of Charlotte Forten’s life and legacy. Along with this display will be a brief history of Charlotte Forten and her connections to Salem, an overview timeline of her life, a small family tree, images of what the finished sculpture will look like, and project updates. Open the Monday of February school vacation week, this event is free & open to the public. The public is invited to visit and view the exhibit at Old Town Hall, 32 Derby Square, Salem MA, from February 19th – 29th 2024, exhibit hours each week: Mon. Tues. & Wed. 10am – 4pm; Thur. 10am – 7pm.; Fri. 9am-12noon.; Sat. & Sun. 9am – 4pm.
