Rockhopper Penguins at the PEM

January 13 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Rockhopper penguins, named after their ability to jump from rock to rock, live on islands North of Antarctica. The rockhoppers’ most iconic feature is their yellow crowns, which look like grumpy eyebrows. Join us as we turn rocks into rockhoppers! Then, find the species of penguins from PEM’s natural history collection on view in the galleries.

Regular Drop-in Art Making is held in person Friday–Monday in our Create Space studios. Friday art making is recommended for ages 10 to adult, while Saturday–Monday activities are suitable for ages 4 and up. Activities are created and led by PEM’s Education team.
