Pop-Up World Music Festival

Join us for an afternoon of music and culture from around the world. Learn about the tabla from India and the mbira from Zimbabwe in an outdoor event for all ages. From 1-2:30, Amit Kavthekar will give a demonstration and answer questions about the tabla drum in North Indian traditions, and from 2:30-4:00 Samanyanga Mbira Group will perform and share their passion for the mbira from Zimbabwe. All are welcome to watch and listen, ask questions, and even have the opportunity to try to learn to play the instruments!
