Pipe Cleaner Flowers and Insect Friends

Spring is just around the corner! As temperatures warm and plants begin to sprout, we’re reminded that flowers are a big part of many ecosystems. Their nectar provides food for insects, and in return, the insects pollinate the plants to make seeds and continue the cycle of growth. There are many different pollinators in the world, including bees, birds and even bats! Let’s take a cue from spring and make some plants of our own using pipe cleaners, along with some critters to help pollinate them.

Regular Drop-in Art Making is held in person Friday–Monday in our Create Space studios. Friday art making is recommended for ages 10 and up, while Saturday–Monday activities are suitable for ages 4 and up. All activities are created and led by PEM’s education team.
