Julie Dougherty Performs Live in Nathaniel’s

Julie Dougherty has been singing and performing for over 40 years, mostly in the New England area but she spent many years travelling across the country singing in Nashville, Austin as well as a year’s stint in Los Angeles, where she lived and sang with her sister, then as a solo artist. She spent many years travelling back and forth to and from Nashville, where she was able to place a few songs with major publishers but decided playing close to home was nearer to her heart and gave up the push to ‘make it in Nashville’! She has worked as a ‘full-time’ musician for many years (4-5 nights a week) but now prefers a scaled-back gig schedule to suit her lifestyle … often times she is joined by her husband Woody Woodward on bass.
