“I Found My Village! Now What?” Locating Vital Records in Poland Using Online Resources (POSTPONED)

Genealogist and writer Julie Roberts Szczepankiewicz will provide a brief overview of Polish partitions to introduce the audience to the geography and history of Poland. Ms. Szczepankiewicz will then illustrate the use of church records, passenger manifests, naturalization records, and other documents from U.S. sources to determine one’s ancestral village. She will suggest resources and strategies and rely heavily on online sources to show how to trace your Polish ancestry without crossing the ocean.
