Salem Community Life Center Hosts: Group Support for Adult Children of Aging Parents Presented by James Ashton
Caring for an elderly parent is a big job and thus it requires big support! Group sharing provides much needed support to adult children who are responsible for/or providing direct care to aging parents within a safe setting of peers who are undergoing similar challenges. The group will also share collective wisdom and practical advice on a variety of topics such as senior living, home care, financial considerations, end of life, etc. James will also present on topics such as self-care, boundary setting and responding to crisis from a place of compassion and calm.
James Ashton is an ICF certified professional life coach and workshop facilitator working with individuals and teams on topics related to enhancing communication, diversity/inclusion and strengths-based collaboration. After caring for his elderly parents and a family member with mental illness, James felt drawn to be of service to others who are going through similar challenges.
