En Plein Air Painter’s Workshop at Bakers Island

We are pleased to offer an exceptional opportunity for beginner to intermediate level painters to capture the beauty of Bakers Island Light Station through the artistic stylings of en-plein-air this summer! nJoin landscape painter, Brett Gamache, for a 6 hour workshop at beautiful Bakers Island Light Station, 10 acres on the north end of Bakers Island, Salem, MA! You can paint the historic buildings, the natural landscape along the trails, the magnificent rocky shoreline seascapes with the Misery Islands and the Beverly-Manchester coast. Brett will lead this program which will include painting instruction on techniques, discussion and review paired with relaxing by the beach and a picnic lunch. nTickets ($85) are available online. nAbout Brett Gamache nBrett holds an MFA in painting from the University of New Hampshire and a BFA from MassArt. He has exhibited widely, and completed fully funded residencies at Rocky Neck Artists Colony , the Vermont Studio Center and the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. He is a Fulbright Grant recipient (Italy 2007-08) and currently teaches art at MASS Art, Montserrat College of Art and the Cambridge Studio School.
