Create Night: Sustainable Self Expression with UpCycled Accessories

Grab a drink, invite a friend and join artist and PEM educator Lillian Gendreau to create a sustainable, wearable piece of art emulating and celebrating the upcoming exhibition Patrick Kelly: Runway of Love. Learn how to design and make your own upcycled buttons and pins. A visionary fashion designer, Kelly pushed cultural and racial barriers and is known for his unique use of buttons and pins as accessories in his runway ensembles to convey self expression and personal identity. Participants are asked to save at least 2 clean and empty aluminum cans from recycling and bring to this Create Night, and will receive a kit in advance with the remaining tools necessary to complete the project.
