A
Christmas in Salem is thought to be the nation’s longest running holiday house tour. It is also the annual fundraiser for Historic Salem, Inc., an advocacy group dedicated to preserving Salem’s historic resources and educating the community on their value.
This year, instead of walking into each house, we have set up a website with a pay wall. Once you have purchased your ticket, video content will be available for you to view. The homes will be numbered similarly to our in-person tour and there will be additional content such as music and lectures, just like always, but it will be available in digital form.
Unlike our usual Christmas in Salem, there is no particular time you need to attend. We will make the content available on Friday, December 4, but you do not need to view it then. The content will be available for you to view throughout all of December and will not be limited to one weekend. You can enjoy Christmas in Salem on your own time, and tour each house as many times as you would like.
We hope you enjoy Christmas in Salem this year and we are grateful for your support in Historic Salem, Inc.’s preservation efforts. Thank you!
Beginning December 4, 2020, visit ChristmasinSalem.org to register for the virtual house tours.
