DIY Activity: Celebrate iconic buildings in Salem’s McIntire Historic District by going on an Architectural Treasure Hunt! Use the answer bank to identify features of the following places: Hamilton Hall, Historic New England’s Phillips House, the Pickering House, and the Salem Athenaeum. At each property, you will find a fact sheet challenging you to identify the building’s architectural details. The fact sheets are posted at the rear visitor entrance of Historic New England’s Phillips House, and at the front entrance of the other three properties. Bring your own pen! Want to skip the paper? You can find digital copies at the host websites. The activity level for this Treasure Hunt is high school age and up.
