Join us for The Merchant’s First Salem Charity Event!nPart of what makes The Merchant special is its connection to place. In its past life, it has been a home, a tavern, an office building, and a rare book shop (and of course, has welcomed George Washington for a night’s stay!). In an effort to deepen the connection with our great community and city, The Merchant is excited to bring you its first ever Salem charity event. nOn May 30, 2019, from 6:00-9:00 pm, The Merchant will welcome Author William Martin to our cozy lounge for a meet-and-greet and presentation on his latest novel, Bound For Gold. Martin, a native of Boston, is a New York Times bestselling author (of 11 books!) and has also written a variety of book reviews and magazine articles, as well as a PBS documentary to name a few. nAlongside his presentation, we’re thrilled to be hosting Lifebridge, a local organization that offers a variety of services to assist those experiencing poverty and homelessness. From transitional beds to supportive housing to a Community Meals Program, Lifebridge is making a hugely positive impact on the area. nMark your calendars and join us for a truly unique night! The event will include refreshments and a variety of local, tasty snack, and you’ll even have the opportunity to win a basket of local goodies! nAll proceeds from the event will go directly to support the efforts of Lifebridge.nPurchase your ticket here! n Source: https://www.salem.org/event/an-evening-with-author-william-martin/
