SUMMARY:Witch Trials Ancestor and Descendants Tour
DESCRIPTION:Salem will be 400 years old in 2026. It is rich in history\, including a critical role in the American Revolution and being the richest seaport per capita from 1790 to 1812. And then there is the 1692 Witch Trials. There were 156 official complaints and maybe 200 accused\, along with 70 afflicted persons\, nine judges\, dozens of jurors and hundreds who observed the trials. Calculations estimate that there could be 100 million descendants from the 1692 Witchcraft Trials. Many descendants know but many don’t know. Most of them have never been in the public eye. However\, many of them are famous and some are infamous. You’ll be surprised. \nThis tour will bring you throughout the downtown area of old Salem Towne and will discuss key people involved in the 1692 Witchcraft Trials and their descendants. \nPerhaps you are one of them.

SUMMARY:Acrylic Pour Workshop
DESCRIPTION:In this workshop Robbie will prepare for workshop participants to paint their own acrylic pour paintings. Limited seats available! To ensure a free spot\, RSVP by emailing ChagallPAC@gmail.com This one hour workshop involves picking out the paints you want to pour with\, mixing with a diluting agent\, and pouring onto a canvas. The canvas will need to sit to dry for several days; you can recuperate your painting a few days later at our shop next to Old Town Hall on Artists’ Row. RobbiePaul studios started about five years ago when Robert Odell decided to take his passion of color and organic forms and make a career out of creating one of a kind pieces. Robert started out working with acrylics but realized traditional painting with brushes wasn’t for him. He took his love of nature \, magic\, and space and discovered fluid art. Being able to create pieces that just flowed right off the canvas the way waves flow over the sand on a beach is what truly felt right to him. Robert also fell in love with the science behind fluid acrylic painting and the way colors are able to be blended in a way that seems so organic and free. Robert now spends his time creating colorful pieces he hopes will spread love and peace to anyone who sees them.

SUMMARY:‘Caitlin Karolczak: Imitations of Mortality’ at the Satanic Temple
DESCRIPTION:Throughout history\, women have been more commonly recalled as muses than artists. Karolczak lays claim to both\, using both self-portraiture and other imagery in reclamation of identity. Her art practice also exhibits a preoccupation with the male portrait\, examining prevalent notions of fetishization and oft-not-seen vulnerability. Karolczak’s richly layered works combine age-old painting techniques with bold\, contemporary mediums. Featuring countless brushstrokes and translucent layers of pigment combined with uncommonly used mediums such as neon\, enamel and metal leaf\, Karolczak’s work truly stands out in the genre of figurative art. \nCaitlin Karolczak was born on Minnesota’s Iron Range. She attended the University of MN at 16\, where she received a BFA in Fine Arts and a BA in Art History with an emphasis in 19th century medical photography. \nIn addition to painting Karolczak\, pursues installation\, sculpture\, and performance art\, often incorporating objects of biology and antiquity from her personal collection. \nKarolczak has exhibited internationally in Bogotá\, Vancouver\, New York\, Miami\, Minneapolis\, Belgium\, Germany and more. Her work is in numerous collections across the US as well as Australia\, South America\, UK\, Canada\, Israel & South Africa. She has been interviewed by art publications in Australia\, South America\, Croatia\, & the USA. \nImage: Recoil\, Oil and encaustic on canvas\, 48″ x 72″.  2022

SUMMARY:‘Creatives of Color Boston Blooming Truths’ Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Creatives of Color BOSTON presents our 2022 exhibition\, “Blooming Truths”. This project asks the question\, “What would the world look like if colonialism never existed\, and BIPOC were given the chance to truly blossom?” In our current climate\, being BIPOC can sometimes feel like we have to make ourselves smaller just to fit into a world that treats us less than equitably. \nBIPOC Artists of various mediums will explore the idea of an alternative future where we aren’t boxed in by the limitations of a post-colonial\, Euro-centric world. It will be an opportunity for artists and viewers alike to give themselves permission to take up space\, and we were inspired to choose this theme because of a discussion that transpired between us and artists in our community. \nFeaturing work from: \n\nAryana Meraj\nJennessa Burks\nJennifer Okumura\nLinda Sok\nLiza Zayas\nMariel Cueto\nNaijah Nine\nOlivia Blaisdell\nSephra Mohammed
