SUMMARY:Ted Vigil: Remembering John Denver
DESCRIPTION:Ted is a singer\, songwriter and a tribute artist. He was born in Seattle and raised in the Olympia area. He has been performing from the age of ten throughout school in concert\, symphonic and jazz bands developing his talents as a drummer and singer. \nIn 2006 he went on to Laughlin\, NV to compete in the Talent Quest 2006 involving 28 states\, New Zealand\, Australia and Canada taking first place. He then went on to win Komo TV 4’s NW Afternoon Celebrity Look Alike contest\, and has played twice for John Denvers own “Windstar Foundation” in Aspen\, CO. Ted cruised the Caribbean with Darryl Worley and Jimmy Wayne on a “Travelin’ Inc. country cruise hosted by Great American Country’s own Storme Warren. In 2012 Ted was awarded the Rising Legend Award by the National Traditional Country Music Association. Ted also performed with the late Steve Wiesberg\, John Denver’s lead guitar player from 2010 to 2014 who is quoted as saying “Apparently the audience thinks they all look and sound like John. I don’t see it. I see it with Ted. A very strong physical resemblance… Uncanny!” (King 5 Eve News Magazine clip). In 2016 Ted was part of the Kings of Country Tour in Australia starring Johnny Cash\, Willie Nelson and John Denver tribute artists touring 20 cities from coast to coast. \nTed now performs Internationally for all kinds of venues and events. He has wowed the crowd selling out theatres all over the US. The most heard comments after a show are “I can’t believe how much he looks and sounds like John Denver! It really took us back!”

We’ll learn to paddle through exploring the beautiful coastline along Salem and while playing fun paddle games like Tsunami and Piano keys! \nSign up for as many sessions as you’d like! \n\nMondays and Wednesdays\, 12:30-1:30; Saturdays 9:30-10:30\nMeet at Coast to Coast Paddle Salem Willows Kiosk\nAges 6-12\n10 kids max per session\n1:5 instructor:kid ratio\nLife jackets will be provided\, though paddlers may bring their own Coast Guard approved life jackets if they’d like.\nPaddlers must be comfortable swimming in the ocean.\nProgram takes place in an ocean environment. Paddlers will be in water over their heads at times\, and life jackets will be worn at all times.

DESCRIPTION:Classes are offered from 10:15 am to 12:15 pm on\nFrom stick figure doodlers to first-rate talents\, join us for a seaside\, Plein Air sketch class with Sue Wheeler of Arts Abound in Magnolia. All skill levels are welcome! This two-hour session includes a 30-minute beginner sketch lesson. All you need to bring is a sketchbook\, pencils and an eraser. We encourage you to bring a folding chair and sunscreen as this program is outdoors. Please note: watercolors\, pastels\, oils\, or acrylics are not permitted on the Museum grounds. \n\nAttendees who wish to tour Hammond Castle Museum after this class are entitled to a 20% discount on a self-guided tour. Tour tickets may be purchased in the Museum Shop before 3:00 p.m. on the day of this class\nAbout Sue Wheeler: Sue Wheeler has a lifetime of making art through various mediums from delectable pastries to abstracts in pastels\, watercolor\, and acrylics. She enjoys using her creative flair in quilting and interior design as well. In early 2019\, Sue opened her own gallery and studio\, Arts Abound in Magnolia Village\, MA as an artistic haven for local artists. Through the gallery\, over 30 artists featured their creative works ranging from paintings\, hand-painted silk scarves\, silver jewelry\, and more. Sue also ran many workshops and classes featuring many of the artists.
