SUMMARY:Haunted Footsteps Ghost Tour with Prof. Nicodemus Whateley (VIRTUAL EVENT)
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Virtual Haunted Footsteps Ghost Tour with Professor Nicodemus Whateley Wednesday\, July 8 at 8 p.m. The professor will whisk you around Salem and tell you about paranormal activity\, accidental death and murder.  Born in Kent in 1838\, Professor Whateley was frustrated of his upbringing by an English gentleman who blocked his path to studying demonology. Taking up a teaching position at Balliol College\, he became an expert warlock. He transferred to Harvard University in 1870\, but sacrificed a particularly annoying undergraduate class to a 30 foot fire demon two years later to achieve immortality. Unfortunately the blaze got rather out of control\, but the statute of limitations has long since run out. Nicodemus is condemned to give ghost tours as part of an insert clause in his demonic contract he mistranslated. This is a virtual tour around Salem through pictures and live storytelling. You will receive a confirmation with login information for the evening of the tour. All you need to your soul and something to protect it. The cost is $7.50. Use this link to register: \nhttps://book.peek.com/s/9b156b2d-e2bd-4589-b5fa-8d0995b1afee/yadE–5eded6e95ce3833fd4000000?date=2020-07-08&mode=standalone&timeString=8%3A00pm

SUMMARY:Salem Farmers Market
DESCRIPTION:The Salem Farmers’ Market is a tradition that dates back to 1634. With its peak around 1930\, where more than 40 vendors sold goods in collapsible wooden stalls\, an estimated 10\,000 people visited the market on a single Saturday. In the early 1970s\, the market ended\, and the Salem Redevelopment Authority redesigned the square into what we now know as Derby Square. \nThe Salem Farmers’ Market runs through mid-October\, every Thursday from 3 pm to 7 pm.
