She is the owner of the businesses Nikki Deerest Novelty Taxidermy and Lone Fox Taxidermy. She has over 4 years of taxidermy experience and a wide range of background with art and animals. \nDetails: This class is 18+ as we will be working with sharp objects. \nParking: There is a lot next to Hive and Forge where you can park. Salem also has multiple parking garages and lots in the area. \nWhats included: All basic supplies needed to complete your taxidermy piece. DESCRIPTION:String quintets have been called “symphonies for the living room” — they are works of explosive power and profound refinement. We begin 2020 with two Mozart quintets\, both late masterpieces — K. 516 and K. 614 — that will transport our audiences from darkness to light. The G minor is dark and melancholic\, turbulent and wistful\, before ending with a sunny allegro in a major key. The E-flat quintet\, written at the same time as the Magic Flute (also based E flat)\, is Mozart’s last serious chamber work\, and full of celebration and joy. Please note that Hamilton Hall is a Registered National Historic Landmark and is not handicap accessible to the performance hall on the second floor. \nTickets available online.

SUMMARY:First Day Hike
DESCRIPTION:On January 1\, 2020\, the National Park Service\, the City of Salem\, Essex National Heritage Commission\, and the Salem Historical Society invite locals and community members to participate in First Day Hike\, a national initiative established by America’s State Parks to get people outdoors and connecting with places in their own backyards. This will be the fifth year that Salem community members have participated in First Day Hike. \nThis year’s hike will begin at 12:00 pm at the National Park Service Regional Visitor Center\, 2 New Liberty Street. This year’s hike will focus on the importance of the Custom House to Salem’s history. David Moffat from the Salem Historical Society will lead the hike through the downtown district stopping at a few of the locations of past Custom Houses along the way. The hike will finish at the 1819 Custom House at Salem Maritime National Historic Site\, followed by an optional walk up and back on Derby Wharf. This event is free and open to hikers of all ages.
