Healthy Hearing Lecture and Clinic

December 4 @ 9:30 am - 11:30 am

Have you heard??? Hearing loss is the third most common disability among adults, after arthritis and hypertension. Chances are that you or a loved one have started to notice difficulty hearing in groups or noise, or it seems like everyone is mumbling. Hearing loss usually happens gradually, and others may notice it before you do! Early identification and treatment of hearing loss improves quality of life and may help reduce the risk of dementia by keeping people engaged and stimulating the brain. Join local audiologist Dr. Joan McCormack of Atlantic Hearing Care and the North Shore Hearing Foundation to learn more!

Hearing aids are a medical necessity but are often not covered by insurance.  The North Shore Hearing Foundation is the non-profit affiliate of Atlantic Hearing Care and provides hearing aids for people of low income on a sliding scale. Applications and more information will be available at the clinic or through Lynne Barrett or Sharon Felton at the COA. For more information about hearing loss please visit www.atlantichearingcare.com. To learn about the North Shore Hearing Foundation CLICK HERE

Lecture at 6:00 pm followed by a FREE hearing screening by appointment

Preregistration is required. Please contact Rosanna at 978-744-0924 x 43006 to register.
